After School Club

Dramatic Little/Bigger Bookworms

Dramatic Little/Bigger Bookworms is a storybook driven drama club, which aspires to create confident and articulate storytellers and performers.

Each week our Dramatic Little/Bigger Bookworms will participate in a vocal and physical warm up in order to gain focus and concentration.

Our Dramatic Little/Bigger Bookworms will then be presented with a stimulus (word, image, sound or object) to interpret. This will allow the opportunity to develop their imagination, creativity, ideas and deepen their understanding of the chosen storybook, through exploring: themes, characters, situations, social messages, meaning and alternative outcomes through Drama techniques (role play, improvisation, hot seating, freeze frames and storytelling).

On the last week our Dramatic Little/Bigger Bookworms will perform the chosen storybook in front of a small audience.
