Day 1: Friday 20th September 2024 - (9:30am- 3:00pm)
Day 2: Friday 29th November 2024 (9:30am- 3:00pm)
#Day 3: Friday 7th March 2024 (9:30am- 3:00pm)
Through the course of the day, participants will have the opportunity to deepen their knowledge and understanding of how Early Attachment Trauma (EAT) can be worked through. You will explore interventions such as sand, massage, drawing, drama, sound, and breathing over the three days.
You will gain hands-on experience with various therapeutic techniques and work your way through delivering EAT interventions.
The interventions will equip you with effective strategies to promote healing and resilience in children.
The focus is to:
· support children to manage and express their anxieties through sand.
· provide drawing opportunities that allow children to symbolically and safely express their worries.
· encourage cognitive development through supporting language acquisition through drama.
· build resilience and concentration through sound.
EYP will take part in discussions, linking key documents (KCSIE, Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Statutory Frame Work, Promoting and supporting mental health and wellbeing in schools) to practice, enhancing their offer.
Attending this course will empower EYP with the knowledge, skills, and strategies needed to identify and meet the trauma requirements of the cohort of young children who are struggling with the world within and around them.
